Yesterday evening I stepped in two rusty nails. First I stepped in one with my left foot. Tried to step back and stepped in a other nail with my other foot.
Oh, stepping in nails hurts!!!! Especially when you step in two with both feet and your not able to run in the house! Somehow i made it in, cleaned the wounds out poured alcohol over it. The next day my right foot, the nail went in deeper there, was so swollen! I could not walk or even put my foot on the floor. So i decided to go to the doctor.
When the doc finally opened i went right away. I got my last tetanus shot in 1987, so it was time to get one. The shot didn´t hurt, but now I have really bad pains in my upper arm. I can´t even move. With three kids it´s not easy not to be able to walk or move one of your hands!
So I did something I usually would not do. I bought the kids 4 new DVD´s (Laura´s star - a really sweet cartoon) so they will stay calm for today. And it is working. Their not used to something like this!
I also need to take antibiotics. For one whole week. And and sunday I need to go to Bayreuth - Germany to present our Liszt-Project (from the educational university). Hope I can step till then.
Wish me luck and pray for me!
Fotos from Bayreuth with come in the next posting!

It took me a really long time to decide what kind of party we will do for my 6 year old. I found a lot of really nice ideas for the superhero-theme.
Here´s the invitation:
Here´s the invitation:
And here are more decoration ideas. I´ll list the homepages for the material at the end.
Here´s how the table looked like at the beginning. The kids made their capes first. In the box the kids could find the first letter of their name. that´s what came on the cape. Then they could choose other objects as decoration (stars, lightning, dots...).
Here is what the capes ended up looking like. I drawed a template for the maskes and cut them out and we wrapped a wool-string around it.
Here are the sweet little popcorn boxes i found on the internet. We made a livingroom-cinema. I borrowed a beamer and we watched a short superhero series and some pictures i took at the beginning. The kids loved it.
This was the cake. I didn´t have any time to bake a cake so i bought this one. It a "Sachertorte". I cut out the batman-logo and laid it on the cake. I pourd powderd sugar over it. I messed up on the left side. But the kids liked it.
The kids got "Power-Bubbles", a secret weapon against bad guys. The kids did show-jumping courses. They had to jump as high as possible (in the trampolin), who runs the fastest...just real easy things...but the superheros loved it!
At the end the kids got their superhero diploma. My eldest, he was already a superhero, gave them the diplomas.
We grilled and after the superheros where refreshed they showed us how strong they are by fighting against my hubby.
Here´s a little treat the kids got when they left.
The kids loved the party. The kindergarden teachers asked us about the party a few days later, because the children didn´t stop talking about it. Some kids even slept with their capes on!

Joshua and I went out to make some pictures today. It was a beautiful day. Everything was frozen!
It was so cold, even though it was just minus 1 degree. At about 10 a.m. the sun came out and it was beautiful! A perfect day to be out in the nature!
